Victron VE.Bus Smart dongle

The VE.Bus Smart dongle is a Bluetooth accessory for Victron inverter/chargers and inverters with a VE.Bus port. It allows users to remotely control and monitor the inverter/charger via Bluetooth using the VictronConnect app. Additionally, the dongle measures the battery temperature and voltage and can act as a battery temperature and voltage sensor for an inverter/charger and/or for VE.Smart Networking. It also offers the capability to connect to an external temperature sensor. However, it cannot be used to configure an inverter/charger or update its firmware.

Operation

Through the VictronConnect app, users can control and monitor the inverter/charger. The "overview" page in the app provides control of the inverter/charger, adjustment of the AC input limit, and monitoring capabilities for battery voltage, current, temperature, and device status.

Compatibility

The VE.Bus Smart dongle is compatible with Victron inverter/chargers and inverters with a VE.Bus port. It can also be used alongside a Digital Multi Control panel (DMC) and a VE.Bus BMS.
